2009 Summit Recap

On June 15-18, 2009 the Oklahoma Aerospace Alliance presented the 8th annual Oklahoma Aerospace Summit & Expo at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma and hosted the Aerospace Education and Training Day June 18, 2009, at the Tulsa Technology Center-Riverside Campus.

The mission of the Oklahoma Aerospace Summit & Expo is to provide a venue for Oklahoma's aerospace industry leaders, government officials, and non-aerospace companies to network and to attend sessions designed to help companies achieve success in today's economy.

The Summit's 2009 agenda included such national industry leaders as Bob Reding, EVP, Maintenance & Engineering for American Airlines, Ray Marzullo, VP Customer Support - Americas, Boeing Commercial Airplanes and outstanding speakers from across the country who addressed today's industry challenges and opportunities.

The 2009 Summit also featured several best-in-class "how to sessions" targeting skills, tools and resources that Oklahoma's aerospace companies need to advance their businesses.

The Summit's Expo showcased nearly 100 businesses who provide valuable products and services to Oklahoma's aerospace industry.  The Expo serves as an opportunity for aerospace companies, education and training organizations, and non-aerospace companies who want to do business with Oklahoma's aerospace industry to showcase products, services, & capabilities.

And one of the most popular of the 2009 Summit offerings was the Industry Matchmaking program which paired leading aerospace companies with Summit attendees in one-on-one meetings to explore mutually beneficial opportunities for doing business together!
