Oklahoma Aerospace & Defense Alliance’s vision is to help the industry press forward, to create a future generation of engineers and aerospace enthusiasts and keep the dream alive for what can be accomplished in our atmosphere. Aerospace education and workforce are important to the vitality of the industry and the longevity of our economy. Our partnerships with educators, institutions, universities, CareerTech systems, and organizations with a passion for aerospace education provide our companies with the necessary backdrop to get the right people in the right positions.

The Aerospace industry has a rich but relatively young history with over just 100 years in flight. For starters…take a quick walk through aviation history decade by decade.

There are many educational and scholarly sites, like the Aviation History Online Museum, the History of Aviation, Airports and Aircraft, and don’t forget the big museums like the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and the National Museum of the United States Air Force which offer resources for education and entertainment.

Looking a little closer to Oklahoma? Look no further, right in our own backyard is the Tulsa Air and Space Museum and the Stafford Air & Space Museum. Or just get your kicks by discovering science through the Science Museum Oklahoma.
