The TBJ is a business-to-business newspaper that is part of Arkansas-based Community Publishers Inc. CPI serves communities in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri. In Oklahoma, CPI publishes newspapers through its Neighbor Newspapers division; on the Internet and owns commercial printer, Nowata Printing. CPI was incorporated in 1982 and shortly thereafter acquired its first newspaper, the Benton County Daily Democrat, in Bentonville, Ark.
Community Publishers Inc. has three basic business divisions. First, CPI publishes newspapers including two dailies, four twice-weeklies and 17 weeklies. Second, CPI is involved in Internet publishing including two online directories and Web sites for all the newspapers. Third, CPI has an outstanding commercial printing division with three printing plants. There are more than 300 employees in the company.
