In operation for over 60 years, Stillwater Regional Airport opened air traffic control tower services in 2002 and extended runway 17-35 to 7,401 feet in 2005. Stillwater Regional Airport ranks in the top ten in the state by operations and based aircraft. RW 17-35 is the fifth longest civilian runway in the state of Oklahoma. Stillwater Regional Airport is owned by the City of Stillwater and operated by the Stillwater Regional Airport Authority.
